MICA

Mica, from the Latin word micare, meaning to shine, is a naturally occurring Aluminum Silicate, which is an inert, non-toxic and non-carcinogenic mineral. Muscovite Mica, K_Al[Si₃AlO₁₀](OH,F)₂, one of its common forms, is mined from underground and open cast pegmatite mines from various parts of India. Indian Mica is known for its high temperature and electrical rsistance, and excellent baal cleavage, which yeilds high aspect ratio particles when ground.
